The New Beginnings Class
Room: 212
Teacher:
David Sudbeck
Focus: A class for young adults, this Sunday School class examines different Bible stories and interprets them for today's world. Open discussion of subjects and sometimes themes are examined; e.g., how to develop a family prayer life. Along with scripture, this class also attempts to build community among its participants.

The Refiners Fire Class
Room: 210
Teacher: Burgess Metcalf

Focus: Discussion based lessons focus on learning more about God as we seek His desire for our lives. We like to figure out ways to have fun while doing God's will through both mission projects and get-togethers. We are predominately a young married class, but we welcome anyone who wants to grow with us.

The Fellowship Class
Room: 209
Teacher: Howell Moore, Richard Nix, WIllie Garrett

Focus: Lecture oriented with a traditional scriptural base, using recorded tapes from "Adult Bible Studies" followed by class discussions. This class is a senior group with many retirees.

The Irene Cely Class
Room: 207/208
Teacher: Peggy Dulaney

Focus: Lessons from "Adult Bible Studies" Quarterly, an official resource for the United Methodist Church, which is designed to help adults understand the meaning and authority of the Bible for Christian life. Age group from 40's to 70's. Also oriented toward supporting local missions.

The Seekers Class
Room: 206
Teacher: Caleb Rush

Focus: The Seeker's class, aged from the thirties to the late fifties, is one of the newer classes in the church. It represents a variety of religious viewpoints and backgrounds. Lessons come straight from the Bible with an emphasis on everyday applications. If you are seeking a class that likes to be close and supportive, this is your class.

The New Life Christian Class
Room: Parlor of F. L. C.
Teacher: Jim Hamilton

Focus: Bible Based Study from "Life Applications Bible Study Series," with class participation in answering questions posed by the topic of the day's lesson. Try to relate Bible issues to those in current daily and church life, and discuss relationships between Bible and today. Young adult and middle aged.

The Berean Class
Room: 214/215
Teacher: Roy Weaver

Focus: Bible based class studying different books of the Bible. Teacher has a wonderful and detailed understanding of scripture and its use. Perspective is one that attempts to understand the Bible from the standpoint of the early church and then apply it to the world in which we live Spirituality and a developed prayer life are emphasized. The issue here is not just talking the talk, but especially walking where Jesus walked.
